Last week at our every-Sunday-night Marbles group, which was a Carol Figi's house, she made an Apple Dump Cake for the dessert. That's the glory of dump cake. It's so versatile! Carol just winged it, and came up with a totally new and delicious Apple Dump Cake.

Apple Dump Cake

Preheat oven to 350 °
grease a 9x13 cake pan


1 can apple pie filling
1 can (21 oz) of crushed pineapple
1 yellow cake mix, dry
3/4 c walnuts, chopped
6 oz bag butterscotch baking chips
Cool Whip
1 stick of butter
1. Mix pie filling and pineapple. Spread in the bottom of the cake pan.
2. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the fruit.
3. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the cake mix.
4. Cut butter into think slices. Distribute evenly over cake mix.
Bake for one hour.
1. Sprinkle the butterscotch chips over the top of the hot cake and leave them.
2. Allow cake to cool.
3. Frost with whipped topping.
