Candy Little from Kansas sent me this email: "The second I saw this recipe, a handout at a grocery store to promote top round roasts, I thought of you because pepperoncinis and juice are included in the ingredient list.  (I think those things are often in your lunch menu.)"

She has seen pepperoncinis in my lunch menus. I'm quite fond of them!

Candy modified the store version to a smaller recipe. She also says, "My version is tasty without being too 'hot.'"

Candy's Italian Beef Sliders

2 lb. top round beef roast
1 (.07 oz.)packet Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix
1/2 jar of mild, deli-sliced pepperoncinis
1 12-oz bottle plus 1 c of beer
1 med onion, sliced

Put all ingredients into a crock pot. Cook on Hi for 6 hours. Test with a fork for tenderness.

Using a slotted spoon, place on slider buns and top with a slice of Swiss cheese.     (Candy: I plan to serve this as is without buns.)
