This recipe is on a yellowed piece of lined note-book paper. It is in my mother's handwriting. Mom made these cookies a lot over the years, including many years after I left home. They are quick, easy, and delicious!
Chow Mein Cookies
1 small can chow mein noodles
3 oz of peanuts (no skins) or cashews (cut in two)
1 small pkg of chocolate bits (chips)
1 small pkg of butterscoth bits (chips)
1. Melt bits in a double boiler.
2. Stir in noodles and nuts.
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
