Anne O’Neil, who is in my Red Hat Chapter here, was telling some of the gals about seeing Oprah make a Moscow Mule on television. She said Oprah was pretty free-wheeling, flinging ingredients and squeezing limes. A recipe was then shown on the TV, and Anne copied it. It is made by the glass.
Then Anne experimented. Our friend Dell provided the ginger beer and I told Anne how to make simple syrup. It tasted better than Anne thought it would. Though it seems like a hodgepodge of ingredients, it’s really quite nice for a drink. The mint leaves on the glass makes it festive, and a slice of lime doesn’t hurt, either. It is served in almost any size glass, or, often, in a copper mug.
