I got this recipe years ago from Edie Mothorpe. We live in different parts of Florida now, but we still keep in touch by email. I've made this and it's good. This recipe only serves two, which makes it good for a retired couple like us.

Low-cal Cream of Broccoli Soup

1/2 c. minced onion
1 T. flour
1 fourteen oz. can chicken broth
10 oz. pckg. frozen broccoli
1/2 tsp. tarragon
garlic
thyme
pepper
1 c. skim milk

1. Make a roux of the flour an small amount of the milk.
2. Cook broccoli, onion, and spices in the chicken broth until tender.
3. Spin in blender.
4. Add milk. Heat.
5. Add roux and heat until thickened.
