Ann Tanenbaum is my neighbor and my walking companion. Three mornings a week we walk to an exercise class and back together. We've been doing this for about ten years!

Brisket of beef is rather Ann's specialty, and she makes it often.

Ann's Beef Brisket

3-3 and 1/2 lb beef brisket
1 pkg onion soup
1 small can tomato sauce
1 small can sliced mushrooms or use fresh mushrooms
1 onion sliced or chopped
a splash or two of ketchup.

 1. Place everything in covered roaster pan and roast at 325° for about 3 hours.
2. Allow the roast to cool some before slicing.
3. Slice and leave in sauce until served.

Ann:  The roast is always better the next day.
