This is from my old aluminum recipe box. The card is written in a round, childish hand, and signed at the end, AJW. Amy is our eldest daughter, now grown up and married.

The recipe calls for a cookie stamp. You can still get them in kitchen and specialty shops. Look for them near the springerle rolling pins or stamps.

Melting Moments

1/2 c cornstarch
1/2 c powdered sugar
3/4 c margarine
1 c flour

granulated sugar

1. Stir together cornstarch, powdered sugar, and flour.
2. Stir in margarine to form a soft dough.
3. Chill about one hour.
4. Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar.
5. Stamp with cookie stamp.

Bake 350° for 20-25 minutes.
