I had lunch at Marianne Jones' Michigan house on a lake, and she served this salad with salad with Mexican Casserole. What a good combination! She got the salad recipe from her mom, Dorothy.

Mom's Spinach Salad

SALAD:

Wash and chop desired amount of spinach
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 small onion, chopped
1/2 to 1 can of bean sprouts, drained
3 or 4 slices crisp bacon, chopped

DRESSING:

2 T sugar
3 T oil
2 T ketchup
2 T vinegar
salt and pepper
small amount of Worcestershire sauce

Pour over salad before serving.
