Kristen Britain was my supervisor at Acadia National Park in Maine. Kristen is still in Maine. On my birthdays back then she made this wickedly wonderful Toll House Pie.

Toll House Pie

2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 c (1 and 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 six oz pckg (1 c ) chocolate chips
1 c chopped walnuts
1 nine inch unbaked pie shell
whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 325°.
2. In a large mixer bowl, beat eggs at high speed until foamy, about 3 minutes.
3. Beat in flour, sugar, and brown sugar until well blended.
4. Beat in butter.
5. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
6. Pour into pie shell. Bake 55-60 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
